Holy Thursday, or Maundy Thursday, marks the last conversation Jesus has with his disciples, a conversation grounded in what he calls a new commandment. Jesus shares bread and a cup, and tells his disciples to “do this in remembrance of me.”
At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, we will celebrate Holy Thursday with a brief worship reflection, and then we will share a dinner together in the Aldersgate UMC Sanctuary. Pastor Shelly McNaughton-Lawrence will lead a reflection on the disciples as they gathered in the Upper Room to share the Last Supper with Jesus before he went to his death on a cross.
Reservations for the meal are now closed but you are welcome to come join us for the worship service.
