Aldersgate United Methodist Church’s 2018 Feed My Sheep Lenten fund drive will support The Salvation Army Food Pantry, serving residents in Johnson County, KS. We hope to raise more than $4,000 to be used to purchase food.
In 2015, the pantry served 685 families by helping to provide them with supplemental emergency food assistance. In 2016, the pantry served 1,015 families. Last year the pantry assisted more than 700 families facing food insecurity. The food pantry depends on community donations to operate.
During Lent, Aldersgate will purchase and deliver food items requested by the food pantry. For a list of the items we will purchase, and their estimated costs, please see the 2018 Feed My Sheep Form. Volunteers will purchase and deliver the food to the pantry on a weekly basis.
Thanks for helping to feed those who most need your help.
