The Social Justice and Mercy Team is hosting a potluck lunch after the 10:30AM worship service on Sunday, March 18, with a presentation by Darryl Burton.
Darryl is an associate pastor at Church of the Resurrection who was wrongly incarcerated for a majority of his life before DNA evidence proved his innocence. Darryl will speak about how his experiences and faith have transformed him, leading him to where he is today.
Darryl also will touch on the ways in which the government, legislature, and individuals influence laws and systematic processes for many of those who have been falsely incarcerated.
