The Purpose...
The purpose of the music ministry at Aldersgate is to motivate, enlighten, heal, and inspire through voices and instruments for God's Praise.
Adult Choir: Ranging in every style of worship anthem each Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
Youth Choir: Junior and Senior High voices singing God's praises. Currently needing an adult director.
Joyful Ringers: Magnificent sounds of bells enhancing the worship experience. Performs on occasion.
Youth Bell Choir: Grades 6-12th. Performs on occasion.
Special Musical Instruments: Play during the offertory. Contact Chad (913) 764-7560 ext. 225 if you are interested in performing the offertory on any given Sunday.
Gateway Band: Consist of all ages mainly adults with a few older youth. There are acoustic guitars, electric guitars, electric keyboard, drums, tambourine, and more. The Gateway Band performs on occasion.
AlderSong each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. This is a group of 3-5 individuals. If you'd like to be a part of any of these wonderful ministries, please contact Chad in the church office at (913) 764-7560 ext. 225.
News from the Music Department...
Do You Love to Sing? We'd love to have you in the Aldersgate Adult Choir. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:15pm. We accept those who love to sing, love to be with friendly people and we don’t require perfect attendance! Please don’t be shy and don’t hesitate to contact Debi Robinson with any questions. Our first rehearsal is Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 7pm. Please join us!
Bell Choir...Come Join Us!! No experience necessary, and yes Men are welcome! Our group is not only a wonderful ministry, but also a great source of fellowship for those involved. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in ringing with us or would like more information, please contact Betty Atkins. We are finished for the season. Join us back in the fall!
If you are a youth in grades 6-12th grade, then you can join the Youth Bell Choir. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 8:00 p.m. Contact Betty Atkins if you are interested. We will teach you how to ring. Join us in the fall when we start back up again!
